The Winner’s Kiss: Review

I had no desire to read this series even though I had seen all three books on numerous book hauls over the last few years. What initially caught my attention was the savage reaction so many had on the day the cover changes were presented. I knew this was a book that needed to be on my radar because so many felt the change was a personal affront, characters they had come to love, a setting they admired and knew, which were debased with an ill-conceived and terribly timed change of aesthetic. Obviously, cover changes happen often, though we still gawk and yell every time it does, but the level of rage this particular change managed to create was unprecedented. So I took note, and a few weeks later I managed to get my hands on a copy.
